One of the most enchanting parts of Barcelona is the Gothic Quarter (Barri Gòtic), a maze of narrow, cobblestone streets that transport you back in time. This historic district is full of charming squares, centuries-old buildings, and car-free alleyways lined with cozy cafés, bars, and restaurants. Every corner whispers tales of the city’s medieval past. It’s also located near the iconic Las Ramblas, making it easy to explore other parts of the city, such as the bustling beach or the vibrant city center.

Barcelona is synonymous with Antoni Gaudí, the legendary architect whose unique style defines much of the city’s architectural landscape. One must-see attraction is the Sagrada Família, Gaudí’s breathtaking, unfinished basilica. The intricate design and towering spires are a testament to his genius. Other Gaudí masterpieces include the whimsical Parc Güell and the curvy, nature-inspired Casa Milà (La Pedrera). These Modernist gems are unlike anything else you’ll find in the world.

Our long tailor-made tours.

We have started offering our long tours when an American couple requested it to us.

We first offered a route from Montevideo to Punta del Este ( 130km), but they were interested in wilderer areas. More nature, more birds, more coast to see.

There was the moment we started building up the offer of our tour called: From Punta to Punta, that starts in Punta del Este and finishes in Punta del Diablo.

Many arrangements, visits to find the best location for the tourists to stay, adjusting the budgets, and finding the best route for them to take.

That was that our first long tour started on 9th March 2015 with Janet and Richard from Colorado. Alejandro, our former guide, scorted them.

First meeting was in Montevideo, to offer them a city tour, continuing the following day to arrive by bus to Punta del Este where I met them with the bikes.

I joined them in the 3rd route: La Paloma to Cabo Polonio. 50km flat and gravel ride. Was a great experience to share the way with them!. I spent the night there, which is the most beutiful I’ve seen in my country. All sky for you, plenty of stars, together with the lighthouse accompaning your way

Places to eat, places to stop on the way, ways of crossing Laguna de Rocha, and more, are the sugestions from having gained experience and comments from our Tourists to give to you when you decide booking one of our long tours!

Why tailor-made?  We’ve adapted the same route in different ways:

+ starting from Montevideo

diverting the route to show Architecture, like from Eladio Dieste

+ adding days : The route to the wine in Carmelo

+ offering a self guided tour

All the services we provide, plus a personalized direct attention with me, is what makes us feel proud of BIKE TOURS URUGUAY. See the details of our 5-day offer: de Punta a Punta

More pictures and comments on each of the following LONG TOURS to come!!
